So here is Minnesota AAA hockey is only available during the summer - it seems MN hockey is afraid offering it year round would interfere with associtaion hockey - although that is a debate in itself, it is the way it is. So my boys have played the past 4 or so summers on various AAA teams - what a whole different world it is from association hockey and how I wish we had it year round here! We have hit the first of the try outs already I think we may have found a home for our goalie son already - the team he was on is no more so we had to find him a new spot to land. Our oldest son plays for the Red River Valley Stars based out of Grand Forks, ND. It is run by Tim Oshie (LOVE Coach Osh!) he is the dad of TJ Oshie, former Sioux and current St. Louis Blues player. Our middle boys played for the MN Icemen a few years but we have become frustrated with that program so we will find them new homes! What do you do for summer hockey?
